The Paradox PDX-MG5050+ is the successor to the MG5050 with a few enhancements, the main one being the increase to 8 on-board zones. The event memory has been increased to 512 events and the AUX output current has been increased to 1000mA, however, to obtain this output the 16VAC 3A transformer is required. If the standard 16VAC-1.5A plug pack is used, the AUX output current is limited to the standard 600mA. The MG5050+ also now includes a second serial port that is a backup IP reporting channel for the first serial port.
