Each camera also features Dahua WizSense AI with Smart Motion Detection (SMD), accurately distinguishing people and vehicles from non-threatening movement such as trees, rain, insects and animals to reduce false alarms. The 8MP (4K Ultra HD) Warm Light cameras capture exceptionally detailed video during the day and provide full-colour night vision in low-light environments, making it easier to identify faces, clothing, vehicles and other important details. The 4K AI Network Video Recorder (NVR) securely stores recorded footage and supports live viewing, playback and instant event notifications through the Dahua DMSS mobile app, allowing remote access from compatible smartphones and tablets. Product FAQs

1. Does this kit include everything needed to start recording straight away?
No. The kit includes 10 x 8MP cameras and the DHI-NVR4216-16P-AI/ANZ NVR. You will need a hard drive for recording, a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable to connect each camera to the NVR, and a monitor or television for on-site playback. Remote viewing via the DMSS app is available once the NVR is connected to your router.

2. Can I add more cameras to this system after purchase?
Yes. The NVR has 16 PoE ports and supports 16 channels, so you can add up to 6 more cameras before requires to upgrade to an 32-channel or larger Dahua WizSense NVR. If you anticipate needing additional cameras in the future, planning your total camera count before purchasing avoids the cost of replacing the NVR later.

3. Are these cameras suitable for outdoor installation in Australian conditions?
Yes. Each DH-IPC-HDW3867EM-S-IL-ANZ carries an IP67 weatherproof rating, providing full protection against dust ingress and tolerance of temporary water immersion. This makes the turret cameras suitable for exposed eave, fence, and carport mounting across all Australian climates, including coastal and tropical environments with high humidity and heavy rainfall.

4. Can the cameras be mounted on walls or ceilings?
Yes. The turret cameras are designed for both wall and ceiling installation and can be adjusted after mounting to achieve the desired viewing angle.

5. What is the difference between the warm light and IR on these cameras?
IR illumination operates continuously at night to provide standard monochrome night vision without activating a visible light source. The warm light illuminator activates when motion is detected, flooding the scene with visible white light to capture full-colour footage. Both illuminators have a maximum range of 30m, and the switching behaviour is managed automatically by the camera.

6. Can I connect this system to my existing monitor or TV?
Yes. The NVR includes HDMI and VGA outputs, allowing connection to most modern monitors and televisions for live viewing and playback.

7. Is this system suitable for home security?
Yes. This Dahua security camera kit is ideal for homes, units and townhouses, providing high-resolution recording, smart AI detection and convenient remote monitoring.
