The Paradox PDX-RPT1+ is a true wireless repeater as it does not require a 4-wire BUS connection to the control panel or the RTX3 transceiver. It will improve the range of your Magellan system as well as the range of the RTX3 when used with any SP or SP+ control panel. It does this by retransmitting information from zones, PGMs, wireless keypads, and the control panel. Wireless sirens are not compatible with the PDX-RPT1+. With the PDX-RPT1+, all remote-control signals are always repeated, and you can have two PDX-RPT1+ per system. This new design now comes with a single cell 18650 Li-iON back up battery fully enclosed with the PCB in a plastic housing.
The PDX-RPT1+ has a temperature sensor located next to the battery to prevent any hazardous effect that may cause excessive temperature of the Li-iON battery. This sensor will also optimise the charging curve of the battery and will help to extend its life expectancy. Heat created by the chemical reaction inside the lithium-Ion battery leads to increased temperature of the battery, the sensor will regulate the charging current depending on the temperature.
